Dear Walmart, you’re a biter, not a writer.

You’re also wrong about income inequality.

I recently gave a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives in Spanish. Full disclosure, I had to practice quite a bit.  Here’s the video.

1 in 5 who live in my district (56,000 people) would benefit from having the minimum wage increased to $10.10.  These are the working poor in America, who work full time jobs, yet are still struggling to make it. They deserve a raise.

From Vox: America’s uninsured rate appears to have leveled off at 13.4 percent since Obamacare’s open enrollment ended, new Gallup data showed Thursday.

The uninsured rate for the last quarter of 2013 was 17.1 percent. That means there’s been a 22 percent drop over the last five months in people who lack health insurance coverage.

It’s amazing what creating a few gifs and having a decent Tumblr will get you these days. 

That legislation is HR 1010, which would raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Republicans are preventing it from coming up for a vote on the floor.

Also I know the lines a bit off - House rules say you can’t call out other members directly, and Rep. Hot Shot (R-PA) has a real chip on his shoulder about jokes like this.
